Solving the problem of sludge has always been an important trend of environmental pollution. Because the water content of leather sludge is high (up to 99%), in order to be used in many aspects after being solved, it is necessary to reduce the water content of leather sludge, which requires the use ofleather dryer.

With the continuous development trend of high and new technology, leather sludge drying machines and equipment are also developing continuously. However, in the whole process of development trend, there are always some factors that contain and endanger several types of factors of leather sludge dryer:

1. Moisture content of dried sludge: the factor endangering the drying capacity of leather sludge dryer is the moisture content of dried sludge. For sludge with particularly high moisture content, it is necessary to remove water first to make the moisture content of sludge drying within the standard scope.

2. Sludge feeding particle size distribution: the feeding particle size distribution and feeding symmetry level of leather dryer. Under the condition of drying speed, the larger the total area of sludge touching warm air, the better the total drying results. The smaller the particle size distribution, the smaller the internal diffusion friction resistance, which is beneficial to improve the drying speed. On the contrary, large granular material mass is very easy to produce inflatable film to block the heat conduction and convective heat transfer of inner sludge. Therefore, when drying the sludge, it is necessary to crush the sludge first. The five-day average feeding is the prerequisite for completing the sludge flow equalization.

3. Pyrogen problem of drying sludge: pyrogen selection is key to leather dryer, which immediately endangers the product quality after drying. According to the type of natural materials, pyrogen is often divided into coal, oil, natural gas, power engineering, etc; According to the heat transfer condition, it can be divided into immediate heating and indirect heating of dry materials; For example, the heating furnace heats water to form water vapor, and the water vapor heats dry materials according to the heat pipe radiator. This is secondary indirect heating. The overall heat utilization rate of this kind of method is very low. Indirect heating of warm air cleaning, high heat utilization rate. However, the product quality of immediate heating is endangered due to the environmental pollution of dust, but the energy application is sufficient and the thermal efficiency is high. When there is no harm to the infiltration of a small amount of residue into the sludge during drying, immediate heating can be preferentially considered.
